Swannies Fish & Chips at 2/21 Dance Dr, Middle Swan WA 6056, Australia, comes across as the kind of casual local spot built around simple comfort food, quick service, and a menu that keeps things familiar. For anyone browsing restaurant reviews before choosing a takeaway meal, this place has the essentials covered with classic seafood options, kid-friendly choices, and practical services that make ordering easier.
The main highlight at Swannies Fish & Chips is, of course, the Fish and Chips. It is the kind of dish people usually look for when they want something crisp, warm, and satisfying without overthinking dinner. The menu also includes Snapper Chips & Potato Scallops, which adds a little more variety for diners who enjoy a heartier seafood-style meal with golden sides. Potato scallops are a nice extra touch because they bring that soft-inside, crisp-outside bite that works well beside fish and chips.
Another standout option is Mussels and Chips with Spring Roll. This combination gives the menu a more mixed feel, especially for guests who like seafood but still want something a bit different on the plate. The spring roll adds a crunchy side, while the chips keep the meal grounded in the classic fish-and-chip-shop experience. It is a simple mix, yet it suits the casual dining style well.
In terms of services, Swannies Fish & Chips offers no-contact delivery, which is convenient for customers who prefer to enjoy their meal at home. The location also provides a wheelchair accessible parking lot, making arrival easier for visitors who need accessible parking. Credit cards are accepted, so payment feels straightforward and modern. Families may also appreciate the kids’ menu, especially when ordering for younger diners who prefer smaller or simpler meals.
One detail worth noting is that there is no restroom available, so this location may be better suited for takeaway or quick visits rather than long sit-down meals. Still, for a casual seafood menu in Middle Swan, Swannies Fish & Chips offers a practical choice for locals and visitors looking for familiar flavours, easy ordering, and a straightforward fish-and-chips experience.

I mean who doesn't love a good feed of fish n chips. This is fantastic, proper old school fish n chips. Absolutely loved it. $13.90 for fisherman's pack for one plus a $2.00 squid ring = fantastic value meal.
Decided to try Swannies since we were passing through the area. I'm so glad we did. I'm not a huge seafood fan but have to say I really enjoyed their fish. It's as good as I've ever had. A big call I know but true. The chips were fantastic too. I will definitely be back.
First time eating at Swannies and it was absolutely delicious. Paua fritter for the win The snapper and squid rings were so fresh and the portion sizes on point
Tried Swannies Fish & Chips for the first time today and was really impressed! We ordered the Seafood Platter and Fisherman’s Feast, and both were absolutely fantastic. The quality of the fish was excellent — fresh, perfectly cooked, and not oily at all — and the quantity was generous for the price. Everything was crispy, well-seasoned, and served hot.
Absolutely the best fish and chips. Fresh, quality food, full of flavour and massive portion size. Reminds me of home.
Still the best fish and chips in Australia. Dinner for one is enough for two! Insane value for the quality. Comes with a can of Coke, crab stick, fish bites and soo many beautifully cooked chips
Friendliest and happiest service. Delicious fish Chips a bit over cooked. Still recommend and would go back.
I've just moved into the Midland area and was looking for a new regular fish and chip Shop. Swannies is one of the best in Perth in my humble opinion. The owners are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The chips are crispy in the outside and as soft as mash on the inside. Generous portions as well, a $6 medium serve was an absolute mountain. The scallops were reasonably priced and delicious. Each bite was bursting with the delicious savoury briney juice that good sea scallops ought to have. I had the red Emperor fish. Beautiful white flesh cooked to flakey perfection. The batter on the fish and scallops was nice and crisp to bite and had a lovely amber colour to it. This will definitely be my new go to for fish and chips.
